About

I'm Paola. I remember exactly what the relief felt like.

I had my second baby at 38. What came afterwards didn't feel like new-mum exhaustion. It felt like an overwhelm much bigger than me — like my brain had stopped being able to handle things I'd been doing without a second thought for years.

It made me doubt myself every single day. Worst of all, it made me doubt whether I was a good mother. I'm not a perfect one and I've never tried to be, but being a mum to my two girls is the role I love most in my life. Questioning that daily was the worst feeling I've known.

I've always got an audiobook or a podcast running. One day I stumbled into a Diary of a CEO roundtable with four women's health experts, and it changed my life. Here were specialists describing precisely what I was living through — and explaining that it had biological causes. That I wasn't broken.

The relief was enormous.

I started following those experts. Read their books, listened to everything, applied what they recommended, and went looking for a menopause specialist of my own. Within the first month I was less tired, my head was clearer, and I'd started training again.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, menopause is called the Second Spring — not a decline, but the point where the body conserves its energy and moves into a new, more balanced phase of life. I love that. It turned out to be accurate.

You are not broken. It is not in your head. And you can feel better, even in this.

That relief — the one I felt listening to four experts describe my own life back to me — is what I want to hand to as many women as I can reach. It's the entire purpose of this.

I'm not a doctor and I won't pretend to be. What I am is someone who analyses data for a living, who has read a great deal of this research, and who turns it into something you can actually use. Everything here traces back to the specialists who did the work.

I'm on the road to redefining my Old Lady Life — one with energy, mobility, and the strength to actually enjoy it. This is me sharing the map as I find it.

Where this comes from

You shouldn't have to take anyone's word for it

My own experience is what started this. It isn't what any of it is built on. Everything published here starts with peer-reviewed research and specialists who work in this field every day — not opinion, and not what worked for somebody on the internet. The work is reading it properly, then turning it into language that's actually usable.

If a claim can't be traced back to a named MD, PhD, or peer-reviewed study, it doesn't get published here.

Being straight with you

What this isn't

This isn't medical advice

Nothing here diagnoses or treats anything, and it can't replace a doctor who knows your history. The goal is the opposite — to send you into that appointment able to describe what's happening clearly, so you're taken seriously.

Nobody is paying for this

No pharmaceutical company, supplement brand, or device manufacturer funds, supplies, or reviews anything published here. If that ever changes, you'll be told before it appears in anything.

This isn't somebody's personal routine

What worked for one person isn't evidence. Anything recommended here comes from specialists working in the field, not from a morning routine that happened to feel good.
